We Understand

The Wait Is Not
Just Frustrating.
It’s Stealing Your Life.

You followed every step. You saw your family doctor. You got referred. And now you sit on a list, watching months turn into years, while your mobility fades, your pain intensifies, and the things you love — working, hiking, playing with your grandchildren — become harder every day. You did everything right. The system let you down. There is another path.

One real person who knows your case, answers every question, and stays with you from your first inquiry to your return home — including through a dedicated Canadian support line during your treatment.

Accredited surgeons and hospitals

Carefully vetted, internationally recognized facilities and board-certified specialists with standards equivalent to top Canadian hospitals. We do not work with anyone we wouldn’t trust ourselves.

English-speaking medical team throughout

From your specialist consultation to your surgical team and nursing staff — you will always be able to communicate clearly in English. No language barrier at any stage.

Complete travel coordination

Flights, accommodation, medical transport, and logistics — all arranged through one point of contact. You focus on getting better. We handle everything else.

Transparent, all-in pricing

You know exactly what you’re paying before you commit to anything. Not a range — a clear, itemized number. No hidden fees. No surprises on arrival.

The Process

Six Steps From
Here to Healed.

Every step is guided, transparent, and at your pace. There is no pressure to proceed at any stage — and no payment required until you have fully reviewed and accepted your care proposal.

1
No Cost

Free Guidance Session

A 30-minute call with a GESTUR care coordinator — by phone or video, in English or French. You tell us about your situation and what you need. We explain what is possible, how the process works, and what to expect. No medical advice. No sales pressure. Just honest information.

Free — No Commitment
2
Real Physician

Specialist Assessment

We coordinate a telemedicine appointment between you and a board-certified specialist from our medical network — the actual physician who may perform your procedure. A real doctor-to-patient assessment of your condition, medical history, and suitability. You receive a written clinical summary. Unlike other services that call a coordinator conversation a “consultation,” this is a genuine medical assessment.

$250 CAD  /  $180 USD 100% applied toward your care package if you proceed. A comparable private specialist consultation in Canada costs $300–800+ CAD.
3
Full Transparency

Your Care Proposal

Based on your specialist assessment, we prepare a complete, itemized care proposal covering procedure fees, surgical team, facility, coordination services, accommodation, and logistics — all in one number, every line explained. Valid for 30 days. No obligation to proceed. No payment is requested until you have reviewed, understood, and accepted every item.

4
Fully Managed

Confirmation & Preparation

Once you accept, your coordinator arranges everything: flights, accommodation, pre-operative preparation checklist, and medical transfers. You receive a written Care Agreement detailing all included services, terms, and responsibilities — so you always know exactly what is covered and what to expect.

5
You Are Not Alone

Your Treatment

You arrive. A liaison from our network meets you and ensures you are settled. Your procedure takes place at an accredited facility. Your entire medical team — surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nurses — communicates in English. Your GESTUR coordinator is reachable by phone throughout your stay, including via a dedicated Canadian support line so you always have someone in your time zone.

6
Continued Support

Return & Recovery

Your discharge documentation is prepared for your Canadian or American physician, ensuring continuity of care when you return home. Your coordinator remains available for questions after your return, and our Canadian team conducts follow-up check-ins during your recovery.

About the Step 2 fee: Most medical tourism services offer “free consultations” conducted by administrative staff with no medical training. Our Step 2 is a genuine telemedicine appointment with a real specialist physician. The $250 CAD fee is remitted to the physician and applied in full toward your care if you proceed. We believe you deserve a real doctor’s assessment — not a sales call — before making any decision about your health.

What We Coordinate

Procedures & Services

We focus on elective and semi-elective procedures where Canadian wait times are longest and where quality care in Mexico delivers the most significant benefit to patients.

Hip Replacement

Total and partial hip replacement for osteoarthritis, hip fractures, or avascular necrosis. Restore mobility and eliminate chronic pain.

Canadian wait: 18–22 months → PrimeCare: 4–6 weeks

Knee Replacement

Total and partial knee replacement for severe arthritis or joint damage that limits daily activity and quality of life.

Canadian wait: 20–28 months → PrimeCare: 4–6 weeks

Spine Surgery

Disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spinal fusion, and decompression for patients with chronic back pain or nerve compression.

Canadian wait: 24–30 months → PrimeCare: 4–8 weeks

Bariatric Surgery

Gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, and other weight loss procedures for patients with obesity-related health conditions.

Canadian wait: 12–24 months → PrimeCare: 3–5 weeks

Neurosurgery

Complex neurological procedures coordinated with internationally trained neurosurgeons at accredited facilities.

Assessed individually → Contact us to discuss your case

Stem Cell Transplants

Hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT) for hematological conditions, coordinated with certified transplant centres.

Assessed individually → Contact us to discuss your case

Dental Care

From routine restorations to full mouth reconstruction, dental implants, veneers, crowns, and cosmetic dentistry — coordinated through accredited dental clinics. No wait lists. The driver here is savings, not wait times. Canadians and Americans save 60–75% on procedures that cost $1,000–50,000+ at home.

Transparency First

Our Role — What We Do
and What We Don’t

We believe transparency builds trust. Here is exactly what GESTUR PrimeCare does — and what we don’t — so you can make a fully informed decision.

What We Do

Provide clear, honest information about procedures, facilities, and what to expect

Coordinate telemedicine specialist assessments with independent, licensed physicians

Connect you with accredited medical facilities and board-certified surgeons

Arrange and manage all travel logistics, accommodation, and medical transfers

Provide a dedicated coordinator and Canadian support line throughout your journey

Coordinate discharge documentation for your return to your Canadian physician

What We Don’t Do

Provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations

Make medical decisions on your behalf — your health decisions are always yours

Perform, supervise, or guarantee any medical procedure or outcome

Employ the physicians or own the medical facilities in our network

Request full payment before you have reviewed and accepted your complete proposal

Pressure you to proceed — at any stage, you are free to step back

GESTUR PrimeCare is a coordination and information service. We are not a medical provider. All medical procedures are performed by independent, licensed physicians at accredited facilities. We present options — you decide. We always encourage you to consult with your Canadian physician before making any decision about treatment abroad.

Patient Experiences

Real Results.

Hear from patients who chose not to wait — and reclaimed their quality of life.

★★★★★
“I was told to wait over two years for my hip. I couldn’t walk to the mailbox. GESTUR handled every detail — I had my surgery in 6 weeks and was hiking again by month four. My Canadian doctor was impressed with the surgical report. I wish I’d called sooner.”

“My coordinator spoke French throughout. The hospital had bilingual staff. At no point did I feel lost or alone. The care I received was exceptional — and my coordinator checked in with me every single day during my stay.”

“As an American, I was quoted $92,000 for spine surgery. GESTUR arranged everything in Mexico for a fraction of that. Same quality, same outcome, and an actual person answered my calls at every step. I can’t recommend them enough.”

Is surgery in Mexico actually safe?

Yes — when coordinated through a reputable service working with internationally accredited facilities and board-certified surgeons. Mexico has world-class hospitals that meet international standards equivalent to top Canadian and American facilities. The key is choosing the right service: one that vets its partners, provides genuine medical assessments (not just quotes), and stays with you throughout. Medical tourism is a well-established global industry — millions of people travel each year from Canada, the USA, the UK, and Europe for high-quality surgical care abroad. We only work with facilities and physicians we have directly vetted and would recommend to our own families.

How does the quality compare to Canadian hospitals?

The facilities we work with hold international accreditation and maintain modern infrastructure. Many surgeons have completed fellowships in North America or Europe and have years of experience with international patients. For the elective and semi-elective procedures we coordinate, outcomes are comparable to those at Canadian hospitals — with the critical difference that you receive care in weeks, not years. The surgical procedure is the same. What changes is the access, the timeline, and the cost.

Will my medical team speak English?

Yes. English communication is a condition of our working with any facility or physician. Your specialist, surgical team, anaesthesiologist, nursing staff, and recovery team all communicate in English. All key documents — your assessment summary, consent forms, discharge instructions, and return-home documentation — are provided in English. Your GESTUR coordinator is also available throughout in English (or French). You will never be left to navigate a language barrier.

What does the service cost?

Costs vary by procedure, facility, and your specific requirements. We provide a complete, itemized all-in quote before you commit to anything. In general, procedures coordinated through GESTUR PrimeCare cost significantly less than equivalent private surgery in the United States and are often comparable in total cost to what Canadian patients spend on extended private physiotherapy and pain management while waiting. The Step 2 Specialist Assessment fee is $250 CAD ($180 USD) and is applied in full toward your care package if you proceed.

Is this covered by provincial health insurance?

Provincial health insurance generally does not cover elective surgery performed outside Canada. Some provinces offer partial reimbursement in specific circumstances — we recommend checking directly with your provincial health authority. We strongly recommend purchasing travel health insurance before your trip, which can cover unforeseen medical needs during travel. We advise on this during your care preparation phase.

What is your role exactly? Are you a medical provider?

No. GESTUR PrimeCare is a coordination and information service, not a medical provider. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any medical procedure. We provide information about options, coordinate your specialist assessment, connect you with accredited facilities and physicians, manage your logistics, and support you throughout. All medical decisions are yours, made with the advice of your physicians. We always encourage you to consult with your Canadian doctor before proceeding. Our role is to make sure you have the right information, the right connections, and a real human being available every step of the way — so you can make the best decision for your health with confidence.

Do I need to speak Spanish?

No. Your GESTUR coordinator provides full English and French support throughout. Every medical professional we work with communicates in English. All your documents are in English. You never navigate alone.
